On this date, 1stLt Ryan York has been assigned the position of 60th MAW Training Officer (DOT) He will now be responsible for all squadron training matters, including scheduling new pilots for mission training and the creation of “canned” local training flights.
With help of DOA, tracks currency training and informs the SQ/DO of pilots that are non-current. v1stLt.
York will now also have the authority to create the training missions in the TACC database and all pilots shall follow these missions as written by him.
Once he creates a training mission he will notify vCol Tom Mihelich and he will post the notice to the appropriate squadron room.

On this date vMajor Ryan York was awarded the vUSAF Commendation Medal for Outstanding Achievement; OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT During Period of 08/19/21 to 08/10/22 ACCOMPLISHMENTS vMajor Ryan York distinguished himself by being promoted to the position of 60th MAW Training Officer.
He also is the Training Officer for AMC.
He has displayed REMARKABLE airmanship in several airframes.
He also earned and was awarded the much-honored Senior Instructor Pilot rating.
Maj York designed, implemented, and integrated all of AMC’s Quarterly Proficiency flights, which is a resounding success.
vMajor York is also a “Hurricane Hunter”, based at Keesler AFB, flying the WC-130J.
It is for this dedication and commitment; I would like to recommend vMajor York for the Commendation Medal.
His service and his accomplishments, reflects great credit upon himself, and the Virtual United States Air Force and should be promoted well ahead of his contemporaries.
